A wedding which took place Sunday, June 6, and which is just being announced is that of Miss Edna A. BROWN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Brown, of the Wideawake community west of Liberal to Mr. Robert W. PACKER, Jr., of Liberal. The ceremony was performed at the Baptist parsonage in this city at three o'clock Sunday afternoon by Reverend C. W. Campbell. The young people were attended by Miss Erna Enns of Wichita and Mr. Marlin Brown of this city, brother of the bride. Mrs. Packer graduated from Liberal high school with the class of 1932 and since that time has been employed at the F.W. Woolworth company store. Mr. Packer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Packer, Sr., of the Pleasant Valley community northwest of Liberal, attended Liberal high school and is now farming in the Pleasant Valley community, where he and his bride will make their home.
