Jones--Coffman.

P.D. COFFMAN of Westland, Iowa, and Mrs. Mattie M. JONES, of this city, were
married at the court house December 24th, by Judge Campbell. 

The ceremony was witnessed by about forty guests, being the pupils of Mrs.
Coffman's school, known as the Union School southeast of the city. 

Following the ceremony, congratulations and showers of rice greeted the couple.
The guests accompanied them to the depot and gave them a hearty farewell as they
boarded train No. 2, which took them to Iowa, where they will make their home on
the farm.

(Note: Union school is a guess as it is very garbled in the article.)
