Topeka Health Officers Insist on Early Care for all Suspects--Helps Cut Down the Mortality List. No Decrease and No Increase. Epidemic Shows Little Change Either Way--Decrease Shown Over State Where Orders Are Obeyed. Four more deaths were added to the Topeka influenza death list yesterday. Oscar PETERSON, 305 Lake street, died at a local hospital late Monday night. The death of Margaret RANGEL, a Mexican woman, has been reported by a local undertaker. Mrs. Loretta WILSON, 202 Monroe, and Billy MURPHY, a small child, 634 Adams, died last night. Seventy-eight cases had been reported up to 5 o'clock, making a total of 533 cases reported for the city. Many of these, however, were in the Red Cross hospital yesterday evening. Four families are in the hospital. In thre of the families, the father and children only are at the hospital. There are a few patients who are ready to be released. Nine patients have been released, cured. Seventy-eight patients have bee cared for at the hospital, upto the present. There still is an urgent need of graduate nurses. Practical nurses are needed as badly and will be gladly accepted if they will but apply to the hospital. Any practical nurse who can help may call 1190 or 895, to volunteer her services.
