Mrs. Harry French Resents Testimony at Trial. Neighbors in the vicinity of 1108 Harriosn street were aroused yesterday afternoon by screams from the house, and when they ran in they found Mrs. Harry FRENCH, armed with a large whip, fighting with her husband, from whom she recently parted. Both the sheriff and the police were called, but no arrests were made. The whipping Mrs. French undertook to give her husband is said to have been the outgrowth of a recent trial in the Shawnee county district court, in which she was refused a divorce. In a statement, Mrs. French said yesterday afternoon that her attack on her husband was premediated, that she had sent word she would do it, and had sent a servant to buy the whip during the forenoon yesterday. Mrs. French gave her reason for the action that untrue stories had been told concerning her at the trial.
