GOLIGHTLY, of Auburn, has reported forty-nine cases, which have come under his care within the last few days. All are in the country north and west of Auburn and so far none of them has resulted seriously. Symptoms include an abnormally high fever and indications of a severe cold. There has been no pneumonia. They have no cases in the immediate vicinity of Auburn. Dr. GOLIGHTLY believes that he can trace the source of the epidemic in the rural community. One or two families recently returned from a vacation and were the first to be stricken, last Wednesday. The remainder of the cases followed.
