A man was killed at Morland on the Union Pacific last week. He had just come in from the harvest field and had some money and other valuables with him. He was attacked and brutally killed with a razor and club and thrown in a ditch. A man of bad reputation was caught with the murdered mans watch and some money in his possession but refused to make any statements. There is no punishment too severe for the guilty party as the case was a plain one of robbery where the object was money that had been honestly earned by hard labor.
