Topeka News. Mrs. Joseph Hanlon, wife of the Fire Chief was taken sick on Monday last and is confined to her home on North Quincy street. ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ George A. Bridge, brother of Chas. Bridge is in a Boston, Mass. hospital for a surgical operation. ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ Mrs. Gertrude Benjamin has been appointed Administrator for the estate of her late husband, Ike Benjamin. ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ Clifford Pardee who is in the navy is in a Boston hospital recovering from an operation, according to word received by his parents at 316 West Gordon Street. ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ Mrs. James Newman of the Rochester neighborhood spent the week-end at Lawrence, Kansas where her daughter Ruth Garver is taking the course in Journalism at K. U. Miss Graver [sic] was formerly one of the most efficient neighborhood correspondents on the Chief staff. ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ The Setweart [sic] brothers of North Quincy street, J. C. Stewart of the force of the Capital Building and Loan Association, and David Laurence Stewart are both dead, and a double funeral was held Tuesday Tuesday [sic] from Conwell's undertaking parlors on the south side.
