Won't Advance Clock
City Officials at Norton Refuse to Help Save Daylight.
Refusal of the city of Norton to turn its clocks ahead one hour the same as
other cities in the country resulted in the filing of a protest against the city
today before the public utilities commissioin. H.L. BOMGARDNER,s ecretary of the
Farmers and Merchants Telephone company filed the protest.
It is at Norton that the time is changed from central to western time and that
further confuses things according to the protest. Just what authority the
commission has in this matter must first be settled before any action can be
taken on the protest.
