Robert L. BAKER, 620 Liberty, died Monday in a local hospital. He was 79. He was born March 15, 1881, in Phillips County, and lived in Topeka most of his life. He was a retired Santa Fe Railway carman's helper and a member of the Church of God Holiness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Stella Baker of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. Elsie REEDUS of Bensenville, Ill.; Mrs. Inez GENETSKE and Mrs. Jennie POTTER, both of Marquette, Wis.,Mrs. Lucille MAUCK of Jamaica, British West Indies; Mrs. Ruth DICK, 537 Oakland; Mrs. Marjorie HARRISON, 4908 W. 21st., and Mrs. Florence TAYLOR, 1916 Massachusetts; one son, the Rev. Oren BAKER of Sioux City, Iowa; five brothers, Clarence Baker, George Baker and Harvey Baker, all of Anaheim, Calif., Arthur Baker of Elmhurst, Ill., and Benjamin Baker of Texas; 14 granchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
