Topeka Man Was Stationed at Hampton Roads. Word was received in Topeka of the death at Hampton Roads, Va., at noon Thursday, of Kenneth L. BARBER, 28 years old, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Barber, 212 East Tenth avenue. A telegram had been received by Mrs. Kenneth Barber Monday that he was very ill, so his wife and mother started for Hampton Roads at once. They just arrived at 7 o'clock last night, it was said at the J.W. Barber residence, and funeral arrangements will not be announced until word is received from them. Kenneth L. Barber, who for several years was an employe of the Pierson Telegraph Transmitter Co., enlisted in the navy about three months ago, and was assigned to the naval signal school at Hampton Roads. He married Miss Grace WOOD, of Topeka, at Norfolk, Va., September 9, and she recently returned from the east, where she had been visiting her husband.
