Widow of Former Topeka Newspaper Man Stricken While on a Trip. Word has been reached Topeka of the death of Mrs. Vance BARTELSON, who died suddenly in Albuquerque, N.M., Saturday morning. Mrs. Bartelson and her sister, Mrs. O.M. BALLARD, 325 Clay street, left last week for a pleasure trip thru the west. Mrs. Bartelson is well known, having at one time held a position in the office of Charles E. Eldridge of the Kansas fire insurance inspection bureau. She as an active member in Sunday school work at the First Baptist church. Mr .Bartelson, until his death a year ago, was in the newspaper business in Topeka. Mrs. Bartelson is survived by a small son, Everett. The body is expected this morning and will lie in state at Penwell's chapel. Funeral announcements will be made later.
