Bailey, Former Topekan, Dead. Word was received yesterday of the death Monday of Charles C. BAILEY, 63, at his home in Albuquerque, N.M. The deceased was born in Griggsville, Ill., but lived in Topeka for many years coming here from California. He was employed in the ticket auditor's office of the Santa Fe both at Los Angeles and Tpeka for thirty-two years. Seven years ago he was stricken with tuberculosis and was pensioned. He immediately went to Albuquerque where he spent the rest of his life. "Bill" BAILEY, as he was known among his vast number of friends in Topeka, was an outstanding citizen. He was a member of Grace Cathedral, Masonic Lodge, No. 51, Knights of Templar and the Santa Fe Band. He is survived by his widow, Alberta BAILEY, (Johnny to all her Topeka friends), a sister, Alice P. BAILEY, of Hartford, Conn., and brother, Henry L. BAILEY, of Long Meadow, Mass.
