Otho Almon BATTLES, 47, 1849 Central avenue, died at his home Friday afternoon. He was born November 18, 1887, in Maquoketa, Ia., and came to Kansas when a small child. The rest of his life he had lived in Topeka. He attended Topeka grade schools and Washburn college. He was a machinist by trade but in later years operated an auto wrecking company on North Central avenue. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Olga BEST and Mrs. Iola STROUDE, and two nephews, Theodore STROUDE and William BEST, all of Topeka.
