David Cohen Services Set For Today.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel for David COHEN,
93, formerly of 329 Harrison, who died in a Kansas City hospital Tuesday.
About 33 years ago he and his sons formed the Kaw Valley Produce Co. Mr. Cohen
was active in the company eight years and was a resident of Topeka 57 years.
He was born in Russia and was a member of Temple Beth Sholom.
Surviving are five sons, Joseph Cohen, 1352 Campebll; Lewis Cohen, 3633 Holly
Lane; Cyrus Cohen, 1170 Woodhull; Sam Cohen, 530 Danbury Lane and Ralph Cohen,
525 Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. Sam HURWITZ of Lawrence and Mrs. nathan EVELOFF
of Kansas City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Topeka Cemetery.
The family suggests any contributions in memory of Mr. Cohen be made to the
Temple Beth Sholom building fund.
