Crooks. For Thirty Years He Was a Resident of Capital City. Word has been received in Topeka that James M. CROOKS, for thirty years a resident of Topeka, died Thursay at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.W. AMES of Rockville, Ind. Mr. Crooks was a veteran of the Civil war and had been a minister of the gospel for forty-five years. Funeral services will be held in Rockville tomorrow. Doctor Crooks is survived by six children: Mrs. W. W. AMES of Rockville, Ind.; Mrs. Robert HUNTER, Atlanta, Ind.; Mrs. J.W. REMINGTON, Garden City, Mo.; Mrs. W.C. REED, Stockville, Neb.; Mrs. C.A. GODFREY and Mr. W.A. Crooks, of Topeka; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary E.
