Davis. E.S. DAVIS, 87, for many years a prominent farmer and stockman in the Meriden and Perry communities died Tuesday at his home 835 1/8 North Kansas Avenue. Mr. Davis was born in Holden, Mo., April 30, 1859, and came to Kansas at the age of three years. He was a member of the Meriden Christian Church. he was married to Emma Irene FRONK in 1892. Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, William E. of Olney, Ill.; Melvin A. of Kansas City, and ed and John of Topeka; one daughter, Mary OGAN, of Topeka; one sister, Mrs. Mary CROOK of Oklahoma City; one brother, Grover DAVIS, of New Haven, Conn., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Parker Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
