Mrs. Myrtle ENSIGN, 79, of Tacoma, Wash., died Sunday at Tacoma. A former resident of Topeka she was born at Chetopa March 13, 1881. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Topeka and a graduate nurse of Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. She was married in 1904 to Dr. Charles F. ENSIGN and they served as medical missionaries in China for six years. They returned to the Midwest to live and moved to Topeka in 1945. She lived here until last year when she went ot Tacoma to make her home with a daughter. Survivors include a son, Dr. Paul R. Ensign, Great Falls, Mont.; two daughters, Mrs. James W. BURNS of Merced, Calif., and Mrs. Gordon E. NEWTON of Tacoma; two sisters, Mrs. Lynn REEVES and Mrs. Carrie BLUNDELL, both of Columbus, and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
