Topeka Boy Fell in France on August 3. LeRoy EVANS, a former Topeka boy, was killed in action inn France, August 3, according to word received in Topeka by his cousin, H.H. Delk, 504 Chandler street. Mr. Evans was a resident of Topeka for about two years previous to going into war service. He was a barber and worked with Mr. Delk. At the time the United States entered the war Mr. Evans was visiting in Detroit, Mich., where he immediately enlisted, and was with the first American soldiers to land in France. He belonged to Company E., 128th infantry, and received his training at Camp MacArthur, Waco, Texas.
