Noted Kansas Author, Suffragist and Club Woman Was in 70th Year. Osage City., Oct. 6.--Mrs. Ida M. FERRIS, age 70, noted author of historical works and prominent as a leader of the woman's suffrage and women's clubs in Kansas, is dead her today. Mrs. Ferris took a leading part in the movement for suffrage and was distinguished for her remarkable leadership of the women's clubs. She was the organizer of the Osage County Federatiorn of Women's Clubs, the first one ever organized in the world. She was a prominent member of the State Historical society and was the author of the "Sacs and Fox Indian Nation History" and compiled many other historical works, including "Reminiscences of Osage County."
