Rev. C. Friedstrom Active Civic Leader. The Rev. C. R. E. FRIEDSTROM of 516 West Fouth Street, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, died very suddenly about 3:15 Tuesday afternoon, near the Topeka Country Club. Pastor of the Topeka Lutheran Church June, 1938, the Rev. Mr. Frieddstrom was one of the better known clergymen of the city. He was active in the Topeka Council of Churche's, and had served on the Council's Comity Committee, ever interested in the welfare activites of the entire community. He was also prominent in the Topeka Ministerial Association, and two years ago served as chairman of the protestant committee which was responsible for sending many tons of clothing to the war-torn countries of Europe. Native of Michigan. Born in Calumet, Michigan, October 30, 1890, the Rev. Mr. Friedstorm was ordained to the ministry at DeKalb, Ill., June 15, 1924. He was a graduate of Augustana Theological Seminary of Rock Island, Ill., and prior to coming to Topeka he has served patorates at the First Lutheran churches of Palo Alto, Calif., and Monmouth, Ill. Besides his wife, Mrs. Edna Friedstrom, he leaves a daughter, Miriam and a son, John, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. C.O. Friedstrom, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. C.O. ODELL, Minneapollis, and Mrs. Ethel OLSON, Washington, D.C. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Eighth and Buchanan, Friday afternoon, at 3 o'clock and burial rites will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent. The body will rest in state at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary until 1 o'clock, Friday afternoon, and at the church from 1 until 2:45.
