'Frank' FLOWERS Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary for George Francis "Frank" FLOWERS, 68, Topeka. He died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. FLOWERS was a carman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years before he retired because of ill health in 1980. He was born Dec. 4, 1920, at Cottonwood Falls, the son of Ress T. and Nettie Bea MICHAEL FLOWERS. He spent most of his life in Topeka. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 to 1946. He was married to Lois L. GRAHAM on June 17, 1961, at Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Thornton FLOWERS, San Diego, George FLOWERS, Seattle, and Sgt. First Class William E. FLOWERS of Talmage in Dickinson County; two daughters, Nancy FLOWERS, Lawrence, and Bonnie L. FARLEY, Kansas City, Kan.; a stepson, Larry E. WHEATLEY, Kerrville, Texas; two stepdaughters, Rita J. DAVIS, Lawrence, and Donna L. McCORMICK, of Timkin in Rush County; five brothers, Maurice FLOWERS, William E. FLOWERS and Donald F. "Fred" FLOWERS, all of Topeka, and Gerald R. FLOWERS and Charles L. FLOWERS, both of Wichita; five sisters, Rosa B. OVERSTREET, Lyndon, and Lillie L. WELLS, Alice CLARK, Doris TILLMAN and Velda LAKE, all of Topeka; six grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. A military detail from Fort Riley will conduct graveside services with military honors at Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill.
