Was Widely Known Religious Of Catholic Chruch. Had Taught in Topeka, Leavenworth, Kansas City and St. Marys--Had Been Ill Years. Sister Agnes FLYNN, 74, died Monday at St. Francis hospital, where she had been a patient for the past eight years. She was well thruout Kansas as she was a teacher in Catholic schools in Topeka, Leavenworth, Kansas City, and St. Marys. Sister Agnes was born January 11, 1860, in Abbeyfeale, County Limerick, Ireland. She came to Kansas in 1880. She entered the novitiate of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth on September 8, 1882. Upon the completion of the novitiate she was assigned to the work of teaching. Taught in Colorado. In addition to teaching in the Kansas schools she taught in Denver and Leadville, Colo., and in Butte, Mont. She filled the office of Superior of St. John's hospital and Cathedral school of Leavenworth and of the Sacred Heart school of Butte, Mon. Because of illness she was obliged to give up teaching and for a number of years was accountant at St. Vincent's hospital in Billings, Mon. About eight years she came to St. Francis hospital to do clerical work, but an accident shortly after her arrival incapacitated her for active work. Her cheerful disposition and active mind made her a favorite with staff members and patients at the hospital. She celebrated her golden jubliee in August, 1932, marking 50 years of service in the religious life. Survived by Three Sisters. Sister Agnes is survived by three sisters who are members of the Sisters of Charity. They are Sister Mary Anacleta, St. Mary's college, Leavenworth; Sister Mary Joseph, Immaculata high school, Leavenworth, and Sister Mary Evangelist, Annunciation high school, Denver, Colo. Two brothers and a sister live in New Haven Conn., and another brother lives in Ireland. The body will be taken to Leavenworth this afternoon.
