Gertz. Edward L. GERTZ, 85, owner and operator of the Old Home Bakery in North Topeka for the past twenty-five years, died Sunday at the home of his niece, Mrs. James R. HAMILTON, 2617 Ohio Avenue. He was born September 13, 1853, in Germany, and had been a resident of Topeka since 1880. he was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 1. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Louisa SCHULTE, and Miss Carey GERTZ, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two nephews, Frederick SCHULTE, Cincinnati and Alfred OGDEN, Los Angeles, Calif.
