Gorman Dies. Long Time Santa Fe Employee. George E. GORMAN, 60, well known Santa Fe employee, died unexpectedly Monday morning in a Topeka hospital from a heart ailment. He had gone to the hospital for an examination and was stricken while he was waiting for a physician. Mr. GORMAN was born December 1, 1890, in Quincy, Ill., and came to Topeka when he was a boy. He was chief clerk in the office of the auditor of freight accounts. He had been associated with the Santa Fe Railroad Co. 40 years. He was a member of Orient Lodge No. 51, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and the Woodmen of the World. He was secretary of the Topeka Chapter of the American War Dads. He was married May 14, 1919, to Verne COOPER of Topeka. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard C. BYRD, of Ottawa. His home was at 1322 Kansas Avenue.
