She Came to Kansas in 1872--Was Prominent Club Woman. Mrs. Minnie Crosby HAMMATT, 70 years old, wife of the late Abram Hammatt and one of the most prominent club women in the city, died about 5 o'clock Wednesday evening at her home, 602 West Tenth street. The funeral services will be held at the home. Dr. Arthur S. HENDERSON of the First Congregational church will be in charge of the services. The body will be sent ot Hampden, Maine, where it will be buried beside that of Mr. Hammatt. Mrs. Hammatt came to Kansas with her husband n 1872. Mr. Hammatt dying about 8 years later. The Hammatts were members of the old Avon club. Mrs. Hammatt has been a member of the board of trustees of the Ingleside home for many years, and she was secretary of the Ingleside association. Mrs. Hammatt was a member of the Colonial Dames. Mrs. Hammatt is survived by two sons, Theodore D. Hammatt and Daniel C. Hammatt, both of Topeka.
