HICKS Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lowman United Methodist Church for Marie M. HICKS, 86, Topeka. She died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, at a Topeka hospital. Mrs. HICKS was a saleswoman for Crosby Brothers department store for many years. She was born Nov. 19, 1902, at Burlington, the daughter of Albert and Edith KINNEY ALEXANDER. She had lived in Topeka since 1934. She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church and Y-Matrons, and was past noble grand for a chapter of the Order of Rebekahs. She was married to James L. HICKS on Nov. 29, 1922, at Burlington. He died in 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Audrey L. JACKSON, Patterson, N.Y., and Shirley H. BOATRIGHT, Topeka; two sisters, Maxine DAHL, Atchison, and Lorraine WRIGHT, Lapel, Ind.; and four grandsons. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Lowman United Methodist Church, 4000 S.W. Drury Lane, 66606; or to the American Lung Association of Kansas, 4300 S.W.
