John William Holliday, 72, retired Santa Fe employe, died Sunday night at his home, 842 North Quincy Street. He was born February 15, 1868, in Rymney, Wales, and had been a resident of Topeka for the past sixty-four years, coming here from Rome, N.Y. HOLLIDAY worked in the coach department of the Santa Fe for thirty-nine years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edith McDONALD, Clinton, Iowa, and Mrs. Louis SHORTHILL, Topeka; one son, John H. HOLLIDAY, Topeka; one sister, Mrs. George KNOLL, also Topeka; one brother, David HOLLIDAY, Seattle, Wash., and six grandchildren.
