Native Kansan, First White Child Born in Chase County. George W. HOLSINGER, 75, a native Kansan and the first white child born in Chase county, died yesterday at the home of John SASH, 713 Ohio avenue. For many years Mr. HOLSINGER was employed by the Santa Fe railroad as ballast inspector, principally in New Mexico and Arizona when the railroad was building thru those states. He retired about 10 years ago and has since lived in Topeka. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jessie SASH, Topeka; a half-sister, Mrs. Lizzie R. MONROE, Paradox, Col., and five nieces and one nephew. The body will lie in state at Peebler's funeral hom until Monday morning at 10 o'clock when services will be held in the chapel. The body will be taken to Cottonwood Falls for services at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon.
