J. HOWE. Mrs. E.J. HOWE, 82, formerly well known Topekan, died Monday in Liberty, Mo. She was a sister-in-law of the late Samuel T. HOWE, former state treasurer and state tax commissioner. She made her home in Topeka until about twenty years ago. She is survived by a son, Charles HOWE, Liberty, Mo., also a former Topeka; two nephews, William E. HOWE of Topeka, and Fred HOWE, Kansas City; and two nieces, Miss Clara HOWE, Topeka, and Mrs. J. G. BOYD, Topeka.
