Dr. William Jacobs Was Father Of Mrs. Walter E. Wilson. Dr. William JACOBS, a well known pioneer, Kansas physician, and for nearly half a century an active practitioner in Washington county, died yesterday afternoon at his home at 715 West street. He had been a resident of Topeka since 1917, when he retired from active practice at Washington, Kan., because of his age and failing health. Doctor Jacobs was born in St. Louis, Mo., December 14, 1844, and removed to Nebraska in 1863. Later he settled in Washington county, Kansas, enduring the hardships incident to the life of a doctor in the early days of the state. Besides his widow he is survived by four children, Mrs. Walter E. WILSON, wife of the state bank commissioner; Mrs. Ernest BAKER and William Jacobs, Jr., of Topeka, and George O. Jacobs, of Raiford, Fla. The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the residence.
