M.H. Jones Died Alone in His Home on North Van Buren. M.H. JONES, aged 79, Civil war veteran and a carpenter in North Topeka many years, was found dead shortly before 6 o'clock last night at his home, 1423 Van Buren street. The discovery was made by his son-in-law, J.W. SPICKARD, 1525 North Van Buren. Mr. Jones had been living alone and Mr. Spickard was forced to break open the door to gain admittance. He found his father-in-law lying partly undressed in his room. He apparently had been dead several hours. Coroner O.F. Marcotte investigated the case and announced that death was due to natural casues, probably heart disease. The body was taken to Conwell's undertaking parlors.
