John E. Liggett.
Lawrence--Services for John E. LIGGETT, 68, of Lawrence will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Cooper-Warren Mortuary in Lawrence. He died Sunday in a Lawrence
hospital.
Born Jan. 31, 1893, at Lawrence, Mr. Liggett lived on a farm south of Eudora as
a child. He lived in Salina for 20 years before returning to Lawrence in 1944.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Caroline Liggett of the home and five
brothers, Glenn Liggett, 1007 E. 8th, Jason Liggett, 1031 Forest, Russell
Liggett, 2071/2 Kansas, George Liggett of Kansas City, and Olen Liggett of
Oakland, Calif.
Burial will be in Lawrence.
