LONG Services for William C. (Bill) LONG, 81, of 408 Burr, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. He died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where he had been a patient since Sept. 26. He had cancer. Born Feb. 5, 1886, at Richland, Mo., Mr. LONG had lived in Topeka about 50 years. Earlier he lived at Wichita. Mr. LONG operated the grocery store at Big Springs many years before he retired in 1966. He was a member of Evangel Temple and Orient Lodge No. 51, AM&FM. His wife, Nora LONG, died in 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carmen HUTCHERSON of 1820 E. 6th and Mrs. Dorothy LINDER of 406 N. Ohio; two sons Raymond LONG of Lakewood, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lulu RUDOLPH of 409 Burr; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
