Mrs. S. E. McFarland.
Mrs. S.E. McFARLAND, a resident of Topeka for 42 years, died Friday at the home
of a son, Clifford McFarland, 530 Kouns. She was the widow of Dr. S.E. McFarland.
She was born in Shelby County, Ind., and was a resident of Havensville prior to
coming to Topeka. Mrs. McFarland was a member of the West Side Christian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert F. ELLIS of Topeka; Mrs. H.M. BROWN
of Fort Scott and Mrs. A.C. VAIL of Long Beach, Calif.; four sons, Lawrence of
Manhattan, J.T. and Clifford of Topeka and C.W. of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs.
Lulu WHITFORD of Dayton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Wall-Diffenderfer's will announce final arrangements.
