Theodore McNeely Falls In Action WIth 353rd Regiment. Theodore McNEELY, Topeka boy and member of the 353rd all-Kansas regiment, which covered itself with glory in some of the heaviest fighting on the west front, was killed in action on September 16, according to a message received by his wife from the war department, last night. That the was killed by German fire during a continuation of the great fight of September 12, for which the entire regiment received the highest praise by the commander, Col. James H. Reeves, is evident, since his death occurred immediately afterward. McNeely was a machinst, and entered the service early last spring, when the all-Kansas regiment was being formed at Camp Funston. He was married two weeks before leaving for the training camp. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. McNeely, live a 517 Lime Street. No details of the manner in which he met death were contained in the telegram from the war department, which was the usual official notification of a casualty.
