Maupin Silver Lake - Mrs. Lucille L. Maupin, 78, Silver Lake, died Thursday at a Tempe, Ariz., hospital. She had been visiting a daughter at Tempe. She was born Jan. 12, 1902, in St. Marys, the daughter of David and Lillith Kemp Lambett. She spend [sic] most of her life in the Silver Lake community. Mrs. Maupin was a member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church, both at Silver Lake. She married John Maupin June 30, 1923, in Topeka. He died Feb. 27, 1969. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn J. Olson, Tempe, Ariz.; two sons, Theron L. Maupin, Topeka, and Duane L. Maupin, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Groves, Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Navarre, Rossville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery. Mrs. Maupin will lie in state after 6 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
