She died Saturday, April 12, at a Topeka hospital. She was born March 22, 1897, in Chicot County, Ark., the daughter of Henry and Susie GRAVES SHAW. She lived in Topeka the past 3 1/2 years. Mrs. NICHOLS was a member of Canaan Baptist Church at Little Rock and the Busy Bee Club and choir at the church. Her husband, the Rev. Jackson Leslie NICHOLS, died in 1968. A daughter, Mrs. Earxie WILLINGHAM BOWIE, died in 1982 and a son, Robert Don NICHOLS Sr., died in 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Janie PEARSON, 3108 Stone; a son, Albert D. NICHOLS, Temple Hills, Md.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Burial will be in Haven of Rest Cemetery at Little Rock. Mrs. NICHOLS will lie in state from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Foundation for Crippled Children, 3500 W. 10th, 66604.
