David H. Owen Dies in Kansas City, Kan. The Rev. David H. OWEN, 68, former Topekan, died Tuesday morning in Kansas City, Kan. He was formerly state director of Christian education of the Christian Churches in Kansas. The Rev. Mr. Owen was born in Mitchell County and attended school at Beloit. He was employed by the Santa Fe when he attended a church convention and decided to enter the ministry. He was state director of Christian education until he moved to Kansas City in 1919 to become pastor of a church. He was a delegate to the world convention of Christian Churches in leicester, England, in 1935. He was a brother of Miss May Owen of Topeka. He also is survived by his wife, formerly Fern M. CLEMMONS of Topeka; two sons, Paul C. and David H. Owen, Kansas City and one grandson. The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City.
