Funeral for Herbert PALMER, 84, of 1215 Clay, will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Palmer, a retired employe of the Street Department, was born Feb. 25, 1877, at Greencastle, Ind., and spent most of his life in Topeka. He was a member of Kingdom Hall. Suriving are his widow, Mrs. mary L. Palmer at home; four sons, Carl Dean Palmer at home, Herbert Palmer, Jr., 2014 N. Taylor; William M. Palmer, Route 3, Grantville; and Edgar L. Palmer, of Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Mrs. Ray KELLEY of Manilla, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. James PATTERSON, Route 9, Manilla, Iowa; and Mrs. Myrtle COWDREY, 417 1/2 W. 7th; and 12 grandchildren.
