She was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., October 3, 1866, and had lived in Topeka for 45 years. She was a member of the First Unitarian Chruch, Order of the Eastern Star, War Mothers and the Military Sisterhood. She leaves her husband, Cortland W. Shephard; three sons, W.T., L.C. and C.W. Jr., all of Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. W.E. ELLINGTON of Wichita and Mrs. Erie G.
