Mrs. Eveline McGrew SMITH, 90, formerly of Carbondale, died Wednesday evening in a Topeka nursing home after four years' illness. She was born June 29, 1871 in Flora, Ill., but lived the great part of her life north of Lawrence in rural Jefferson County. Prior to moving to Topeka for nursing care, she resided in Carbondale 10 years. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca WEBSTER of Redlands, Calif., and Mrs. Florence WEETHEE of 1412 W. 5th; two sons, J.B. McGrew of Marysville, Calif., and I.S. McGrew of Taft, Calif.; two step-sons, Paul SMITH of 608 W. 8th and Earl McGrew of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Polly SMITH and Mrs. Lucy WEBSTER, both of Bakersfield, Calif.
