Saturday April 12, 1947 William J. Straley. William J. STRALEY, 78, of 918 Madison, died Friday in a local hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Straley was born in Milan, Mo., and came to Kansas when he was 8 years old. His father first homesteaded in Ellis County, where the family lived for many years. Since 1925 Mr. Straley had lived in Topeka. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and Elks lodges. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Laura Straley of the home, a son, Fred Straley of Topeka and a sister, Miss A.K. SHADE of Junction City.
