Strickler Dies. Former Real Estate Dealer and Topeka City Official. J.B. STRICKLER, age 69, a former Topeka real estate dealer and politician, died suddenly yesterday in Joplin, according to word received in Topeka. His was the father of Johnson Strickler, engineer for the public utilities commission. Mr. Strickler was a member of the real estate firm of Strickler, Daniels, & Pounds, active during the boom days of Topeka. He was a member of the city council for five years, during which time he was instrumental in securing the first pavements in the city. He also was deputy clerk in the United States district court under A.S. Thomas for five years. He was a resident of Topeka over twenty years.
