He died Thursday, Dec. 15, 1988, after suffering a heart attack in Dallas. Mr. SHEPHERD and his wife owned and operated Ozark Village Marina at Rocky Mount, Mo., on the Lake of the Ozarks. He was born Feb. 27, 1953, at Hutchinson, the son of Donald and Glendola COONS SHEPHERD. He graduated in 1971 from Chase County High School. He was married to Karen SIGEL on Aug. 20, 1971, at Cottonwood Falls. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Brian Dean SHEPHERD, at home; a daughter, Laura SHEPHERD, at home; his parents, Donald and Glendola SHEPHERD, Rocky Mount, Mo.; and two sisters, Cheryl Lynn DILLMAN, Eufaula, Okla., and Jacqueline Kay EVERSON, Topeka. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery at Cottonwood Falls. Mr. SHEPHERD will lie in state after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
