Mrs. Elizabeth STAMMERS, 70, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel DICKSON, 1011 Lime street. She was born November 17, 1861, in Bedford county, Tenn., and had made her home in Topeka 36 years. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Springhill, Kan. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hortense McCLELLAND, Mrs. Mae COLFAX and Mrs. DICKSON; a son, Theodore STAMMERS, and six grandchildren, all of Topeka; and a brother, Newton SAYERS, Rosedale. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. COLFAX, 1219 East Tenth avenue. The body will lie in state at the Colfax home until the funeral hour.
