Mrs. Phy Tillotson Came to Kansas at End of Civil War. Mrs. Phy TILLOTSON, 85 years old, died this morning at her home, 635 Fillmore street. Mrs. Tillotson had been in Topeka since 1880, moving here from Oskaloosa in that year. She came to Kansas in 1866 from Covington, Ind. She was the mother of the late D.C. Tillotson. She is survived by one son, Lauren S. Tillotson, of Topeka and by her three grandchildren, Capt. Luther C. Tollotson, and Misses Helen and Margaret Tollotson, all of Topeka. Mrs. Tillotson started for Kansas with her husband, Luther Tillotson, before the beginning of the Civil war. They had gotten as far as Iowa, when the war began and the husband enlisted. Mrs. Tillotson saw two Captain Tillotsons return from the wars--her husband came back from the Civil war a captain and her grandson came back from the world war with the same rank. The funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Thursday morning from the home, 331 Fillmore street. Burial will be in Oskaloosa cemetery.
