Reuben H. Town, Fought Quantrill at Lawrence. Reuben H. TOWN, who died September 25, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.F. KASSEBAUM, at San Pedro, Cal., had lived on one farm near Valencia for nearly fifty years. He came to Kansas in 1860, settling on a farm near Eskridge. He was a member of the Kansas militia and was at the Quantrill raid on Lawrence and a the battle of the Blue. Less than a year ago he disposed of his farm and started west on the first vacation he ever had taken. Mr. Town is survive by his widow and six children. His body arrived last night from California and funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from Penwell's chapel. Burial in Valencia cemetery.
