THOMPSON Dies at Age of 68 David Merle THOMPSON, 68, of 618 Leland, died early this morning in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1899, at Wichita. At an early age he moved to the Harveyville community. Later he moved to Topeka. Mr. THOMPSON retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1965 after 23 years of service. He was a member of East Topeka Baptist Church where he was an officer and trustee. He was a past master of Harveyville Lodge No. 421, AF&AM. Survivors include his widow, Mary THOMPSON of the home; two sons, Kenneth M. THOMPSON of 826 E. 24th and Kyle THOMPSON of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. LANGLEY of Springdale, Ark. and Mrs. Arol MARTON of Eskridge; four grandchildren. Services will be announced by the Parker Mortuary.
