WALLING - Topeka Kansas USA - 1967 ~~~~%*** ~ ***%~~~~ Topeka Capital Journal 4-16-1967 p.35 (partial obit) Herman B. WALLING, 70, 3300 W. 29th Ter., died Tuesday, April 15, at Topeka hospital. Mr. WALLING was a painter and paper hanger several years and later worked at the Army and Air Force Exchange at Topeka 10 years before he retired. He served in the Army Air Corps from August 1942 until February 1946 during World War II in Africa and later in Korea from September 1949 until September 1950. He was born Sept. 13, 1915, at Aurora, Iowa, the son of George F. and Niccolla OUDERKIRK WALLING. He lived in Topeka since July 1946. Mr. WALLING was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650 and North Post No. 400 of the American Legion, all in Topeka. He was married to Martha S. SMITH June 20, 1942, at South Sioux City, Neb. She survives.
