Services for Charles ZABEL, 61, of Harveyville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Harveyville Methodist Church. He died Monday at his home. Born Dec. 4, 1899, at Westmoreland, Mr. Zabel was an employe of the Garinger Lumber Co. at Harveyville. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Harveyville and the Modern Woodmen of America at Wamego. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marcellin Zabel of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Alice LISTER, 1935 Seabrook, and Mrs. Emily Van SICKLE of Osage City; four grandchildren; a brother, Cleve Zabel of Westmoreland and six sisters, Anna Zabel and Julia Zabel, both of Westmoreland, Mrs. Lillie BAYS of Onaga, Mrs. Savilla SPRINGER of Riley, Mrs. May COOK of Alamosa, Colo., and Mrs. Katherine BURT of Junction City. The casket will be open until service time. Burial will be in the cemetery at Harveyville.
